White out!

 

Nature in white looks like royalty.  Cheers to another weekend in the snow! Now, let’s White out this Sunday, February 4^th, and go snowshoeing up in Laqlouq, for a wider view of the snowy majesty.

 

About the Hike

The hike is a loop. We will be roaming around Tem Rtiba peak, to finally top it out, and then slide down on wide white slopes. Laqlouq’s agricultural lakes views clash with high rocky cliffs and the snowy slopes of the rural side of the mountains.

We start hiking at 1950m above sea level, wander between the summits, till we reach the skyline at 2150m.

How to get there?

Meeting point: Bou Khalil Supermarket | Jbeil

                                 at 8:00 AM SHARP

We go together by cars. We can share each other’s cars, so carpooling is an option.

Don’t Forget!

 

• Hiking shoes (Gortex), hiking pants,
• Hiking poles.
• Fleece, jacket, etc…
• Beanie and hat.
• Gloves (liner)
• 2L of water
• Sunscreen protection
• Garbage bags
• Snacks (dried fruits, dark chocolate, energy bars, Taqa Bar, Tuna can etc…)

 

Snowshoeing gear will be shared at the starting point.

 

Oh, and most of all, turn the monkey mode ON!
