Have you ever seen the North from up above, merged in colors, greenery, and snow at the time?

On Sunday, June 2nd, Moon Monkey will take you along a Full day hike experience in Tannourine el Faouqa, passing through Aarid Hasroun to Jurd Bekaakafra, and Jurd Hasroun, then back to Tannourine el Faouqa.

 

/The Village

Tannourine holds a variety of flora and sceneries. From oldest Cedars trees, to high cliffs, and even beautiful panoramic slopes! It is 85 km away from Beirut, and 30km away from Batroun. (40 min)

 

/The Hike

The trail is mainly rocky with breathtaking sceneries. It passes through “Tallet Mar Semaan” to Aayn el Wardeh,  then uphill to “Kniset el Rab” the highest church in Lebanon (2400m above sea level) and then the Cross. Parts of the trail constitute the track of “Barracks to Barracks”.

/ Let’s meet and ride!

We will meet up at Alfa Jbeil (Bou-Khalil Market, near Wooden Bakery), at 7:15 a.m. SHARP
We go together by cars. We can share each other’s cars, so carpooling is an option.

 

/ Gear up with

• Hiking shoes

• Hiking pants.

• Hiking poles.

• Fleece, jacket, etc…

• Beanie / Hat

• 3 L of water

• Sunscreen protection

• Garbage bags

• Snacks (dried fruits, dark chocolate, energy bars, Taqa Bar, Tuna can etc…)

• Insurance card.

• ID or passport.
