We name it, we imagine shapes and tell stories about it, and we are even made out of its dust!

Join us on Saturday, August 11th for a chill, stargazing night! Photographers, musicians, nature lovers will be all gathered under one sky, witnessing The Perseids Meteor Shower of the year, at Tannourine el Faouqa, Ras Bnaya!
|What's the Perseids Meteor Shower?
Every August, the Earth encounters the debris field left behind in comet Swift-Tuttle's orbit of the sun, and the cosmos celebrate the most active meteor shower of the year which we call the Perseids.
This year, astronomers expect an outburst of Perseid meteors! "The moon is very favourable for the Perseids this year, and that'll make the Perseids probably the best shower of 2018 for people who want to go out and view it." Said Cooke to Space magazine. The Perseids are rich in fireballs, so the show should be even better.
| About the location
Tannourine el Faouqa (1400m-1700m), is the highest part of Tannourine. It’s 85 km away from Beirut, 32 km away from Batroun (45 min). This means that the sky up there is light pollution free, which offers us a better view.

Meeting point: Bou Khalik Jbeil, right before Wooden Bakery.
Time: 17:30 - SHARP
We can share each other’s cars. So carpooling is an option!

17:30 –Meeting point:
19:00 – Arrival at the campsite – Tents setting.
00:00 – Turning off the bonfire
| Gear up with
• Headlamps, chandeliers.
• Fleece, jacket, etc…
• 2L of water
• Garbage bags
• Snacks and camping food (dried fruits, dark chocolate, energy bars, Tuna can, potatoes, garlic etc…)
•Camping gear
•ID and Insurance Card.
