The Great Outdoors are showing their best colors, and we’re seizing it all while hiking in the most beautiful season of the year, when everything is pumping with life and greenery!
On Sunday, May 26th, Moon Monkey is going to explore Hafroun’s hidden trail (Ehmej), in the most botanical yet colorful beauty. Are you ready to get pumped in green?
/The Village
Ehmej, or the “Hidden places” in ancient Arabic, does really hold unspoiled forests, cliffs and valleys! It is located around 1150 m above sea level, 57 km away from Beirut, and 20 km away from Jbeil (30 min).
/The Hike
The hike is a loop. It starts at Wede el Nezneze, 1300m above sea level.
We then go up towards the mountains, reaching al Wardiyet, the rural rocky side. Between the mountains, rocks are interrupted by meadows of green grass and trees, such as Juniper, and oaks, and cedars. We then loop back down, towards our starting point, with a sneak view of Ehmej cedars forest.
The trail back to the starting point, gives us some views to the beautiful Cedars forest in Ehmej.

We will meet up at Alfa Jbeil (Bou-Khalil Market, near Wooden Bakery), at 8:30 a.m. SHARP
We go together by cars. We can share each other’s cars, so carpooling is an option.
